Prevent CHOKING!!

Although the title, “How should we prevent choking or how to deal with it when it occurs” seems foolish, but it happens so many times in our lives. Child, as well as adults have experiences being chocked by an object or other things. Furthermore, I firmly believe that at least once in your lives, you will catch a sight of someone around you being choked. The crucial problem here is that they don’t know what to do.

If you see someone choking, as a human being, there will be some kind of fear or hesitation that hinders from helping the person. Therefore, it is vital to know how to prevent such disasters. First of all, if you see someone choking, you should go to that person and ask whether they are choking. Although it is quite obvious to realize that the person is choking if he/she is coughing and \ putting his/her’s both hands on his/her’s neck. However, it is also essential to inquire them “Are you choking?”, thus, you will be certain to go on to the next step. Then, you should inform the person to keep coughing. Sometimes, when the airway is partially blocked, making them to continue coughing might be helpful to cough out the object. Many times, however, partially blocked airway can be blocked completely in short amount of time, thereby, quick and efficient care will be needed. For a conscious adult or a child, you should provide them with 5 back blows and 5 abdominal thrusts. If the person turns out to be unconscious, then it is essential to call 911 or 119 immediately. Then, give CPR.

There can be numerous other life-threatening accidents occur in our lives. As far as I am concerned, choking is one of the crucial thing that can happen. Knowing one by one, you will be able to save a lof another person.
